Once Upon a Prom was founded in 2012 by Van Buren High School students Alex Gladden and Sydne Tursky. The goal was simple: to give formal dresses away to girls who couldn't afford one. We believe every girl deserves her dream prom night! That first year, we gave away about 20 dresses. In the past few years, we've given away hundreds! Once Upon a Prom is growing astronomically, and we are so excited about it! 2019 will be our eighth year, and we are anticipating more dresses and girls than ever before!
